Mobile Phones and Tablets

Everyone’s got a mobile phone these days, even if all you do with yours is phone someone once in a blue moon. For me as a blind person, however, a large part of my life is handled through technology and a significant percentage of that comes from the phone.

Why do I use my phone so much?

What can I offer?

Blind people use screen readers on phones just like computers, and VoiceOver, the one Apple uses on the iPhone, is very good. It has its own learning curve, so like anything else takes time to master, and the same is true for the different phone apps that we employ day-to-day to make our phones far more to us than perhaps you might have considered.
